It’s been a busy week for the Raiders, with a slew of construction and renovation projects taking place on the East Oakland campus.
One of the biggest projects is the renovation of the Coliseum, with construction on the $1.5 billion project set to begin in January.
It’s unclear what, if any, impact the renovation will have on the Raiders’ stadium, but according to an article on The Oakland Tribune, the project is expected to cost approximately $600 million.
The renovations will include replacing the existing grass field with a concrete one, creating a new one, and upgrading the ventilation system.
Construction is expected for the end of the year.
Construction of the stadium is expected begin in 2020, according to the article.
It will remain under construction through 2021.
