New Orleans mansion home sold for $1.5 million

NEW ORLEANS — A $1,521,000 New Orleans house sold Wednesday for $971,500, but the buyer had no idea what it was.

The seller, a local real estate broker, said the house was built in 1887 and was built on a lot that has been vacant for about three years.

It was originally built in 1924, and is about 80 years old.

She said the buyer did not know the history of the property or the location.

The house is owned by an old-school real estate agent who has been renting it for more than a year, according to the buyer, who asked not to be identified.

The buyer said she was hoping to put the house on the market for a sale and would pay the buyer $1 million for it.

She estimated it would cost her about $100,000.
